The Story of Kingsgate Homes Ltd. Master Builder

In 2002 as my family was growing, my wife Kerstin and I decided it was time to get a new home for our growing family. After viewing various previously owned homes and a few new homes and not really finding a home that would work for our family, we decided to build a new home. At the time, I had a successful career in sales and management and I would need help in the construction process. I sought out the guidance from my brother Fred, who had extensive construction and home building experience. With Fred’s help, Kerstin
and I designed and built our first home. I enjoyed the building process a lot and received a sense of accomplishment in building the home, I was proud of the home that I built and others admired it too. I decided to build another custom home and I would sell it, it was also
at this time that I formed Kingsgate Homes (2003). Once the second home was built and we put it for sale on the market, the response was overwhelming. We received numerous complements on the design and the quality craftsmanship and we where approached to build homes for clients. In 2005 I had a decision to make, continue with a successful career in the automotive industry or go into the home building industry full time. I choose the home building industry, as I enjoyed the building of homes. We built good relationships with our clients, trades and suppliers and our company’s focus was on meeting our client’s needs and exceeding their expectations. We also opened our first show home in 2005; we quickly earned a reputation for building quality custom homes, with top workmanship and great value. As our client base continued to grow, in 2008, I decided to focus on building a limited number of custom and estate homes and I also enrolled in the Professional Home Builders Institute of Alberta program courses as I wanted to become a Master Home Builder. I have since received my Master Home Builder designation in September 2009 and also my Professional Site Manager designation in October 2009. I continue to get great satisfaction and pride building homes for our clients and have become good friends with many of them. I would personally like to thank my family, friends, clients, suppliers and trades in helping me making Kingsgate Homes Master Builder the company it is today and having me live my dream in building homes for you and making your dreams become a reality.
